2007 - 2008 Book Fairs
This Year's Plans
We are scheduled to have two book fairs again this year, one in the fall and the second in the spring. We are planning on using Scholastic to supply both of our fairs because of their wide variety of books, and the past success we have had with them.
Fall Book Fair
The fall book fair was held September 14th - 19th and it was great! Our students were treated to a wide selection of popular titles. The book fair was so successful that we were able to purchase over $1000. worth of books to the media center. Also, many teachers received gift certificates from their students and were able to add books to their classroom collections.
Of course, the success of the book fair is dependent in large part on the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Thanks to Lisa Jenkins and Missy Yarborough for all of the planning and coordinating that they did to pull everything together and, and especially to their team of volunteers came in throughout the week.
Spring Book Fair
Our spring book fair is scheduled for March 10th - 14th. Come take a Road Trip with us, and find books that will make exciting summer reading during your vacations, whether they keep you close by or take you far away. Even if you are not traveling over the summer, a good book can take you on a great "mind trip"!
